ITC to showcase its latest product lines

ITC to showcase its latest product linesTamworth-based Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC) will showcase its wide range of cutting tool solutions at MACH 2024 (Hall 20 Stand 432), taking place from 15-19 March at the NEC, Birmingham. The UK cutting tool manufacturer will display its latest product lines alongside cutting tool solutions from BIG Kaiser, Widia, Karnasch, Kemmler and Bass.

ITC is consistently evolving to meet the needs of the UK manufacturing industry, and is well known for the quality, consistency and performance of its solid carbide end mills, drills and thread milling ranges. Taking centre stage will be the 4101 Series of solid carbide lollipop cutters which are ideal for reaching the most challenging of surfaces when five-axis machining. The 4101 Series is a four-flute long-length tool with centre cutting which enables it to reach the most inaccessible of surfaces – this is demonstrated by the 220deg of inclusive cutting.

Manufactured with an AlTiN coating and a 30deg helix, the 4101 Series has been designed for use with steel, stainless, cast iron and aerospace-grade alloys. With ball diameters from 2 to 16mm, shank diameters from 6 to 16mm and an overall length of up to 100mm, the 4101 Series offers incredible rigidity, flexibility and surface finishes when machining challenging components.

For trochoidal machining, ITC will highlight the 5021, 5031, 5041, 6051 and 6054. The 5021 Series is a long-reach Cupro-coated five-flute end mill with harmonic fluting and a variable helix for unsurpassed performance under the most challenging of cutting conditions. Accompanied at MACH 2024 by the short-length 5031 and the necked 5041 Series, the end mills are available from 3-20mm in diameter. The five-flute trochoidal tools will be accompanied by the six-flute 6051, 6071 and 6054 Series which are perfect for machining steel and exotic materials.

With all trochoidal tools incorporating a centre-cutting geometry with harmonic fluting to maximise material removal rates and swarf evacuation while minimising vibration to enhance surface finishes and tool life — the chip creation and removal are incredible. For the machining of aluminium, MACH will provide a launchpad platform for the 3301 and 3204 Series of end mills. The 3301 for heavy material removal is a long-length three-flute series with a centre-cutting 38deg helix geometry and impressive reach characteristics that are matched by its stability. Available in diameters from 6 to 20mm, the 3301 is available with an overall length of up to 150mm. Complementing the 3301 at MACH 2024 will be the 3204 long series which has chip breakers, centre-cutting geometry and a 45deg helix to demonstrate high-material removal rates.

For long reach applications that demand maximum stability and impeccable surface finishes, ITC will present the 4104 and 4204 Series of four-flute aluminium tools with chipbreakers. The 4104 provides a 3¥D flute length with a 45deg helix, centre-cutting geometry and cutting length up to 48mm that delivers high speed and feed machining with unparalleled rigidity. Like the 4104, the 4204 Series has an overall length up to 150mm with diameters from 6 to 20mm. However, the 4204 provides an extended flute length from 35-80mm depending upon the chosen tool diameter.

ITC has also built an enviable reputation as a benchmark manufacturer of full-form threadmills, mini threadmills and single-point thread mills – all will be displayed at MACH 2024. ITC’s portfolio includes metric, metric fine, UNC, UNF, BSP, NPT, UNJC, UNJF and MJ thread forms as well as a recently introduced range of 60deg single-point carbide threadmills. This new line of extremely rigid high-performance threadmills enables the tool reach to be extended to produce deep-hole threads. The 60deg single-point carbide threadmills can also be used to produce non-standard pitches by using the control of the CNC machine.

Complementing the extensive ITC range is a comprehensive portfolio of Widia general purpose taps that are primarily manufactured from HSSE material and the BASS range of taps made from HSSE-PM – both applied to different parameters and material types. Both ranges are available in metric, metric fine, UNC, UNF, BSP, NPT, UNJC, UNJF and MJ thread forms, catering to the complete needs of any machine shop.
